# MateMatic - European LegalTech infrastructure for law firms

> MateMatic builds European LegalTech infrastructure on which AI in legal work rests on sources that can be checked. Four layers: Repertorium, legal knowledge infrastructure - a corpus of Polish and EU law prepared for AI models, with a locator on every passage and a citation graph between case law and statutes; PATRON, the lawyer's local workspace, which works on the firm's own documents, shows its sources and leaves an audit trail; Boutique, extensions - MCP connectors to public sources of law, and skills; and MateMatic's own work on implementation, audits, standards and AI architecture. - Repertorium is MateMatic's legal knowledge corpus for AI: 1,523,697 Polish law documents, 247,954 EU law documents and 1,535,990 links between them. Every passage comes back with a locator (document id plus character offset), and a citation that could not be resolved STAYS in the answer with a named reason instead of disappearing. Two things plain text cannot give: how citations to a ruling are distributed over time (whether a line of case law is alive or has gone quiet) and a warning that a provision cited in a judgment was amended after the judgment date - a signal for the lawyer, never an automatic conclusion that the ruling is out of date. - PATRON is open source under AGPL-3.0 and runs locally on Windows; sensitive matters can run fully offline on a local model (Ollama).
- Source verification classifies every claim drawn from the file as quote, paraphrase, or no-basis-in-the-file, attaching a verbatim quote and page number.
